Smartthings Apple Homekit. HomeKit is Apple's smart home system, offering a platform for users of its iOS devices to take control of their connected home.. Run entirely through Apple's Home app, HomeKit doesn't require you have a central device or hub to run a smart home. All you need is an iPhone, iPad or Mac; although adding a hub like an Apple TV or HomePod will open up some great features. Homekit can connect less number of devices compare to SmartThings, in SmartThings, technically you can add unlimited number of devices. For users who already own Apple device, may it be TV, iPad and have moderate number of things they want to connect, Homekit can be an option. Users of home automation kit, like Nest, SmartThings, Wink, Lockitron and more, that doesn’t officially play ball with Apple’s HomeKit, may want to check out the open-source ‘Homebridge’ that, as the name suggests, is capable of acting as a bridge between your existing smart home devices and Apple’s HomeKit.
However, I am unable to integrate the camera with SmartThings. It does not appear to be an option. Is there a way to integrate the camera with SmartThings. Also, the inability for the video doorbell to work with the Arlo chime is ridiculous. I am also unable to integrate it Apple home. Additionally, Arlo stopped working with Alexa Show. Just until this last month, I was using Android phones, Google home, etc. to control everything, and it was great. I recently switched to an iPhone (and my wife as well), and I’m getting pretty frustrated with not being able to just say.
