Sling App Not Working. Anyone having issues loading Sling on Roku? I have 3 Rokus and it doesn't load on any of them. Was working fine yesterday. Today it just shows the Sling splash screen, doesn't even get into the app. Other apps like Hulu are working fine. I can load Sling on my Android phone so only the Roku seems to have an issue with Sling. Thanks for this. My setup went away due to a bad antenna and went through the setup at least 10 times. Worked great in AirTV but sling app crapped the bed. Read this and cleared my cache and app data and went through flawlessly. Not sure why they don't specify use AirTV app or the sling app exclusively and are not cross compatible. Why Sling Tv Not Working? Sometimes Sling TV stop it’s working or loading. Because it is the biggest dish TV network in the United Nations.. The app stuck by the long-time usage of TV devices. So, we can clear the cache issues. Go to the app settings and select the ‘clear cache’ option to clean the junk files. It is one of the issues.

My issue with the Sling TV app is when I put my Apple TV to sleep, the next time I wake it and fire up the Sling TV app, it won't load the video. I have to restart my Apple TV for it to work. This occurs on 4 different Apple TV boxes, so it's not anything but the Sling TV app. Amazing how poorly it's built.
It seems to be specific to the Sling app working with Apple TV. I have had Sling on Roku with occasional streaming issues but few and far between. Now I am using the app on Apple TV and there seems to be an issue with the app not refreshing. The app gets stuck on the black blank screen and the "unable to load channel" message. The cache and other memory used by the app does not clear unless the Roku is restarted or other apps are installed that reclaim the memory and only a restart is assured to clear the memory. For me Sling works fine on my Rokus BUT I find that it is VERY clumsy and hard to use, in particular skip forward and back do not work well at all.
