When using the GoPro mobile app or Apple Watch app, the signal between the camera and the iPhone/Apple Watch reaches approximately 50 feet. Another drawback to using the initially released version of the GoPro Apple Watch app is that your iPhone must simultaneously be running the GoPro mobile app, and the phone must remain nearby. Apple Watch no longer supports the GoPro App since its update to the latest version, v5.1 . The descriptions have already been corrected, both in the App Store and the GoPro Support articles.
