I chose the fund later option and it turns out that even if i have not deposited the money, first progress reported it to the credit bureaus and my score increased 50 points after the first month! I still have the same $300 limit from the time of opening the account to now. You have a generous 60 days to fund your security deposit, but if you don't make it in that window, you can just apply again.
