I deleted the file cache like mentioned in the instructions, but the endless update is still present. Worth noting is that it dissapeard once yesterday after restarting battle.net later at night, but it’s back now.. Update: I restarted my router and it downloaded the update just fine, but later when restarting it had another update stuck on 0% again.
About a week ago when we were trying to get on Wow through the battle.net app it wouldn’t launch as it wouldn’t update, the bar just said “waiting on another update”. I tried for a couple of hours to fix it following advice on forums. Finally lost patience and just started playing the game by opening the game straight from the directory, i knew the game would need updating at some. The fix that worked for me was right clicking Battle.net Launcher.exe then click Properties > Compatibility tab > check the box “Run this program in compatibility mode” > from the drop down select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) > also check “Run this program as an administrator” > click Apply > OK.. Apply the same settings for Battle.net.exe and you should be good to go!

Sorry to hear you’re running into issues with updating World of Warcraft… aside from deleting the Battle.net app’s cached data, have you tried performing the task in a new admin-level user account?
