This pet travel carrier looks great, and it’s affordable to boot. However, there are some aspects of the carrier that I’m not 100% convinced meet IATA requirements. The crate appear to have very narrow side rims, and it’s hard to tell if there are any adequate side handles (or any handles at all), which is a requirement for air travel. Alaska Air allows a number of small pets (including cats, dogs, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, household birds, non-poisonous reptiles, pot bellied pigs, rabbits, and tropical fish) to travel as cargo if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 150 lbs (68 kg).
